Earn Your Wings Grant

In 2008, I was working as the Chief Financial Officer for a large construction company when my husband and I found out we would be having son. I had just received a vary large raise and bonus, and felt as though everything was exactly on track in my life!

After confirming the pregnancy with my doctor, I sat down with my bosses to tell them the good news. And... they fired me. 

I was devested and felt the pressure of (what I thought was) being a woman with a career. Later that week, I officially opened Bell Solutions. The initial years of figuring out self employment were sloppy and defeating, as I pieced contract positions together. 

In 2016, I was finishing one my largest projects as interim Director of Operations for a Veterinary Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company, when I took the leap to full-time entrepreneur with the launch of CFO on the Go.  

And, I never looked back!

Prior to the pandemic, I took my company remote and set fire to the restraints put on women in the workplace. Today, I am proud to say that I leads a team of talented accountants, dedicated moms, and all-around brilliant women that  provide accounting, compliance, and strategy solutions to entrepreneurs locally, and around the world.  

The popularity and success of the 'CFO on the Go' model earned it a spotlight in the accounting industry. In 2023, I launched ‘CFOyourself’ to help accounting professionals reach the dream of entrepreneurship.  In 2024, Bell Solutions partnered with QuickBooks to take CFOyourself ever further.  

I live in Lincoln, Nebraska with my brilliant husband, Leroy, and we have two amazing boys.
